Account & Data Deletion

Learn how deletion works inside the SmartTourist mobile app and what happens right after you confirm deletion.

How deletion works in the app

  • Open the SmartTourist app → Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
  • Confirm the deletion. Once you confirm, deletion is initiated immediately from the app.
  • You will be signed out right away and cannot log back in with the deleted account.

What happens right after

  • Account access is revoked instantly and active sessions are terminated.
  • App data linked to your account stops syncing and is queued for removal.
  • If you are in the middle of a flow (e.g., booking or payment), it will be cancelled when deletion starts.

What we delete

  • Profile data (name, email, phone), identifiers, and saved preferences.
  • Saved places, search history, and in-app content tied to your account.
  • Stored payment tokens on our side and support chats tied to your profile.

Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g., billing/transaction records) or in aggregated/anonymized form that cannot identify you.

Cannot be undone

  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
  • To continue using SmartTourist, you will need to create a new account.
